Dr. Hussein is a medical graduate and general practitioner with a strong academic background and diverse clinical experience across multiple specialties. He completed his medical degree at the National University of Science and Technology in Oman (2017–2023), graduating with a GPA of 3.5 and earning a place on the Dean’s List. During his studies, he took on leadership roles, serving as a medical school leader in his final years and later as a Pediatric Chief Intern, which helped him develop both leadership and teamwork skills. He completed his internship in Muscat, Oman (August 2023 – July 2024), gaining hands-on experience at The Royal Hospital in internal medicine, pediatrics, and acute care. His rotations exposed him to subspecialties such as pulmonology, cardiology, and gastroenterology. He also trained at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, rotating through general surgery, orthopedics, ophthalmology, and colorectal and oncology surgery, building a well-rounded clinical foundation. To further enhance his exposure, Dr. Hussein undertook electives and observer ships at Medeor Hospital and Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi, gaining valuable insight into internal medicine and emergency care in different healthcare settings. Dr. Hussein has successfully passed several licensing exams, including the OMSB Prometric, IFOM, EMREE, and UK-MLA (PLAB Part 1), and is Department of Health (DOH) licensed. He is fluent in Arabic and English, with an OET grade B and an IELTS score of 6. He also holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Hussein has a strong interest in research, with multiple published meta-analyses in areas such as hypothyroidism, gastrointestinal surgery, and orthopedic injuries, as well as ongoing projects. He has actively participated in conferences, workshops, and volunteer activities, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning and professional development as a physician.
