Dr. Mohammed Masuood Irfan is a highly experienced Consultant Neurosurgeon with nearly three decades of clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of complex brain and spine disorders. He is known for providing evidence-based, patient-centered neurosurgical care, with a strong focus on patient safety, ethical practice, and clear communication with patients and their families. Dr. Irfan completed his neurosurgical residency through the prestigious Arab Board of Neurosurgery training program at Hamad Medical Corporation, Doha, Qatar, one of the leading tertiary neurosurgical training centers in the Middle East. To further broaden his surgical expertise, he also completed Fellowship Diploma training in lateral skull base surgery and spine surgery through internationally recognized surgical training programs. These advanced programs provided him with additional exposure to modern microsurgical techniques and evolving approaches used in the treatment of complex brain and spine conditions. Throughout his career, Dr. Irfan has worked in several leading tertiary hospitals across the Middle East, managing a wide spectrum of neurosurgical conditions. He previously served as Specialist Neurosurgeon at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC), Abu Dhabi, one of the UAE’s major tertiary referral centers. He later became Head of the Neurosurgery Department at Ahalia Hospital, Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, where he established and led the neurosurgical service and treated both cranial and spinal conditions. Dr. Irfan has also gained valuable international experience at King Fahad Hospital, Madinah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, managing emergency and elective neurosurgical cases. Most recently, he served as Consultant Neurosurgeon at NMC Royal Hospital, Khalifa City, Abu Dhabi, treating patients with brain tumors, spinal disorders, trauma, hydrocephalus, and cerebrospinal fluid disorders. His clinical interests include minimally invasive spine surgery, focusing on techniques that reduce tissue trauma, minimize postoperative pain, and support faster patient recovery. Dr. Irfan remains actively involved in international neurosurgical societies and is committed to continuous professional development to ensure his patients benefit from the latest advances in neurosurgical care.
