Biography

Dr. Vinod Varghese is a specialist in neurology with over 12 years of experience in neurology and clinical medicine management. Prior to joining Burjeel Royal Hospital, he served as a consultant neurologist at Lourdes Hospital in Cochin, India. He also worked at Medical College Trivandrum as a consultant in general medicine and served as a lecturer in internal medicine, with teaching experience for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Dr. Varghese’s expertise in neurology is extensive, including thrombolysis for stroke patients, administering botulinum toxin for movement disorders, performing needle EMG for neuromuscular disorders, managing epilepsy patients, and interpreting EEGs. His passion for neurology earned him a fellowship from the European Board of Neurology. Dr. Varghese earned his MBBS in 2002, followed by a degree in internal medicine from Medical College Trivandrum, India, in 2007. He completed his DM in neurology at the prestigious National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore. In addition, he attained the SCE in Neurology from the Royal College of Physicians, United Kingdom, and became a Fellow of the European Board of Neurology in 2019.
