Biography

Dr. Manpreet Singh Banga is a distinguished neurosurgeon with a strong academic background and extensive clinical expertise. He previously served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Bangalore, India, starting in June 2019. Since then, he has pursued new opportunities in the field of neurosurgery. Dr. Banga holds an M.Ch. in Neurosurgery from Nil Ratan Sircar (N.R.S.) Medical College, Kolkata, where he graduated as the university topper in 2017. He also earned an M.S. in General Surgery from Sarojini Naidu Medical College, Agra, securing a gold medal in 2013. His medical journey began with an M.B.B.S. from B.L.D.E.U.’s Shri B.M. Patil Medical College, Karnataka, in 2009. Beyond academia, he has received hands-on training in microvascular and microneural anastomoses, neuroendoscopic techniques, and high-speed pneumatic drill procedures through specialized programs at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. Additionally, he completed a fellowship in neuroendoscopy surgery (brain and spine) at NSCB Government Medical College, Jabalpur. Dr. Banga has actively contributed to neurosurgical research, including thesis work on atlantoaxial dislocation surgery and the use of intralesional bleomycin injection for lymphatic and vascular malformations. His teaching career includes experience as a Senior Resident at Sharda University, Greater Noida, and as an Assistant Professor at Vydehi Institute. His professional experience also includes serving as an Associate Consultant in Neurosurgery at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi. With his vast knowledge, exceptional surgical skills, and dedication to advancing neurosurgical techniques, Dr. Banga continues to contribute to the field of neurosurgery, training future medical professionals and improving patient outcomes.
