Dr. Ashok Gupta is a highly experienced vascular surgeon with over 10 years of expertise in the UAE, specializing in the minimally invasive treatment of varicose veins using the FDA-approved Venaseal (Bio glue) system. Renowned for his advanced skills in peripheral vascular interventions, Dr. Gupta is a leader in the field, offering comprehensive care for a variety of vascular conditions. He is particularly skilled in the treatment of ischemic and non-healing chronic wounds, peripheral bypass surgeries, and the repair of aneurysms and pseudoaneurysms. In addition, Dr. Gupta is proficient in creating arteriovenous (AV) access for hemodialysis patients and managing deep venous thrombosis through both medication and invasive techniques. Dr. Gupta’s expertise extends to catheter-based peripheral endovascular techniques, including peripheral vessel angioplasty, stenting, and stent grafting. He is also trained in vascular ultrasound, allowing for precise diagnosis and management of vascular diseases. Dr. Gupta obtained his medical degree in 1990 from the University of Delhi, India. He completed his surgical residency at the prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, followed by three years of specialized vascular surgical training under the Oxford and Birmingham rotations (1997–2000). Dr. Gupta further honed his skills with an overseas vascular fellowship at the Institute of Vascular Health and Disease, Albany, New York, USA, in 2003.
